HAMILTON ISLAND VACATION APARTMENT RENTAL DESCRIPTION Apartment 5 Shorelines is located in an ideal position close to the waterfront with spectacular ocean views as far as the eye can reach. You will be pleased with the spacious living areas, modern furnishings and great facilities. A huge entertainment deck offers large outdoor dining setting, BBQ and fabulous ocean views. Days are made for being lazy with a glass of your favourite wine in hand gazing at the views surrounded by family or friends or perhaps a get away on your own to seek that much needed peace and relaxation. Whatever the reason for your get away it will be perfect in Apartment 5 Shorelines on Hamilton Island. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need to self cater for your holiday including dishwasher. Enjoy dinner in the dining room whilst taking in the views or out on the deck. Then get comfortable on the large modern lounge and watch your favourite flick on the large screen new LCD TV complete with DVD player. When it's time to rest at the end of a great day retreat into the master bedroom (if you are lucky enough to score it!) with own balcony and outdoor table and chairs or soak in the huge corner spa in the master ensuite. Leave the curtain open to enjoy the views as the sea gulls won't care. The second bedroom is very comfortable with choice of either Queen bed or 2 Single Beds. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge room for groups of 5 or 6 guests. The second bathroom has a shower and toilet. An electric golf guggy is available for your stay. VIP airport transfers are of course included! Our valet staff collect you from the airport holding a sign with your name on it and will take you and your luggage to your apartment. They will also return you to the airport or marina after your stay. Things To See & Do Beaches Hamilton Island features beaches equipped with kayaks, jet skis and water toys as well as deserted sandy stretches, where the only footprints you will see are your own. Boating Feel the salty sea breeze at the helm of a luxury yacht or cruiser as you beach-comb from island to island. Flights Take a chopper flight over the reef and islands or fly in a sea plane and land inside Hardy Lagoon or on Whitehaven Beach, where you snorkel or picnic. Adrenalin junkies can get the best view of all, hurtling to earth on a tandem sky dive. Reef The reef is World Heritage-listed, visible from outer space and home to the greatest variety of species found in any one location on the planet. So go on, take the plunge, it is the only way you will ever know what it is to be amongst dazzling fish and coral, a true wonder of the world! Viewing the reef formations can also be done from glass-bottomed boats. Dining There are over 10 popular restaurants, takeaways, a bakery and a supermarket on the island. Where is Hamilton Island With an area of five amazing square kilometres, Hamilton Island lies close to the south-eastern tip of Whitsunday Island, the largest island (109 square kilometres) in the Whitsunday group, North Queensland. It is the only Queensland island with a modern jet airport, which allows you to fly directly to Hamilton Island from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns and Townsville in Queensland, and from Melbourne, Sydney, and Uluru in the Northern Territory. Unlike Green Island and Heron Island, which are cays, the Whitsunday Islands are mostly continental islands and are the tips of underwater mountains. Many of these islands, like Hamilton Island, have fringing coral reefs and are considered part of the Great Barrier Reef. If traveling by land on the Queensland coast, a fast ferry to Hamilton Island is available from Airlie Beach, south of the town of Bowen. Or of course you can sail your own boat to Hamilton Island!
